Different Challenges Faced by Students and Teachers in Getting Education  

Education is a continuous process and so is the process of receiving and imparting it to others. However, this industry is of critical nature and requires well-defined ethics and values controlled by legal bodies to govern its exchange and distribution. The following are some of the common moral, legal and ethical concerns faced by both students and teachers and the internal and external factors involved in the institution. 

Recent times have shown that students had to deal with a lot by studying at home. It also made things a little more challenging for teachers as well. The first milestone where it is obligated to make education available for children with disabilities. There was a time when there were hardly any resources to provide education to kids with special needs. They later support their argument by stating that for individuals who can barely afford education, uniforms would become an extra burden on their pockets.  This problem can be solved to a certain extent by imposing fines or any other corrective measures over any unethical attire or any such appearances. This is a way better approach than either making uniforms compulsory or totally having a liberal stand on issues related to school attire.

Dealing With Disciplinary Issues

When it comes to handling disciplinary issues the two policies that should work hand in hand are the traditional zero-tolerance policy and a policy that requires an individual to correct an action by giving them another chance. These should be more like following protocols rather than a decision or reaction. 

For instance, for certain behavioral misconduct that includes aggressive and anti-social acts such as harassment, bullying, or carrying firearms within the premises of the institutions should be followed by a Zero tolerance protocol or policy. 

The Second Chance protocol should be used to enhance the performance of the student and to encourage the student to work harder in future attempts and keep this habit consistent. Giving a second to an individual is not the same as sparing the rod and spoiling the child. 

Conforming To A Diversified Crowd 

There is a diverse crowd entering the schools today to seek admission. This crowd is diverse in terms of social and ethnic backgrounds. Differences among different ethnicities and racial backgrounds are as old as the history of public schools itself. 

The first step to addressing this diversity in schools should initially reflect in the curriculum. Providing opportunities to involve in different ethnic and multicultural festivals at schools would become a milestone in an attempt of establishing a cross-cultural collaboration and a bond of institutional unity. Additionally, one can enable individuals to know more about each other’s values, ethnicities, races and cultures as part of a combined study curriculum in world history classes. 

The Grading Mechanism

Before understanding the purpose of the grading system or systems we should first understand and address questions like what should be the purpose of grades? What should they cover? What should be their role in academics? Is it the assessment of learning capabilities or the tendency to grasp information or any part thereof? What does failure indicate? Likewise, there are a lot of questions that require careful review to conclude without leaving room for any question. 

In the end, one can say that you can discuss a lot of  issues pertaining to education. These can be issues that include the methods teachers follow to evaluate students, sex education, tracking and conducting drug tests in campuses etc. All of these issues require evaluation on a micro level and critical analysis to conclude and judge the outcomes.
